Easter Egg Listing (most of them, anyway) for Barn Runner: Don't Jerk The Trigger of Love (C)Tacky World Interactive Games, 2004 by Scott LeGere _________________ The icing on the delicious cake of Adventure Gaming is the unexpected discovery. This document points out most of the hidden jokes and tidbits of gaming you might have missed if you didn't play the game with an especially curious mind. DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU ARE THE SORT WHO ENJOYS SURPRISES! _________________ ================= EASTER EGGS ================= * He Missed on Purpose! --------------- If you fail an attempt at any of the ranges, you don't have to reset the range right away. You can cycle through the Look/Talk/Touch icons to interact with the room behind Prick. * Talk to Me, Baby. --------------- You can talk to Debbie at any point after you fail a range, but failing range two and range three will enable extra dialogue options. * Don't Be Afraid to Fail. --------------- Debbie will have a different response for each of the various ways you can fail to complete a range (for example, you can shoot only the green target, or you can shoot all of the read targets and the green one as well, or you might save the green target but fail to shoot all the red targets, or leave the range without shooting any targets at all!) There are many conditions for you to explore if you're the sort that doesn't mind coming up short over and over again. * Secret Save! --------------- Pressing F5 will save your game, even in the middle of a range! Pressing F7 will load the saved game, allowing you to retry a range quickly. ================= TRIVIA ================= * The first appearance of Debbie Sauer. At the moment, she's just the Range Master. But soon she'll rise through the ranks and become a vital character as the series progresses. * This awkard arcade gun HUD will never be seen again. I didn't like it at the time and I like it even less as time has gone on. A better one has already been created for future games. * This was the hardest game to work the required C-3PO cameo into. However, by making him the Precint's Janitor, he will now be able to set a future game's plot in motion (something I had been struggling with for a few months now). In fact, if I hadn't mentioned it here, it would seem so effortless, as though I had planned that clever twist all along!
